Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops effectively soothe and reduce ear pain, itching and inflammation of the outer ear canal.

These specially formulated drops contain Glycerol, which has a soothing effect and an anti-inflammatory action which reduces swelling in the ear canal (by removing water) thus alleviating associated pain, and Lidocaine, a surface anaesthetic to further reduce ear pain.

When to Use:

Use to soothe and reduce ear pain, itching and inflammation of the outer ear canal, which can be caused by day to day factors including :

– Regular exposure to water from activities such as swimming

– Prolonged wearing of ear pods and headphones

– Ear wax build up

– Some chemicals in shampoos and shower gels which can damage the natural membrane protecting the outer ear canal.

Adults, the elderly and children from 5 years of age (note children should receive a medical diagnosis before using).

How to Use:

➤ Tilt your head to one side with the affected ear facing up.

➤ Avoid touching the ear with the dropper and do not put the dropper into the ear canal.

➤ Drop 2 drops into the ear.

➤ Keep your head tilted for a few minutes so that the drops can flow into the ear canal.

➤ Wipe off any excess liquid with a clean tissue.

➤ Plug the ear lightly with cotton wool after application if required.

➤ Use the drops three times a day for up to 3 days.

➤ If there are no improvements after 3 days or if you feel worse, consult your doctor.

➤ It is necessary to protect the ear with cotton wool when used in children.

Before using a new bottle of Cl-ear Olive Oil Ear Spray, shake well, then press the actuator down 3 to 4 times until you get a spray. This will prime the system for first use.

• Tilt head to one side with the affected ear facing upwards.

• Holding the bottle in an upright position with the nozzle placed in the ear canal, depress the actuator fully 1 or 2 times.

• Gently massage around the outside of the ear.

• Plug the ear lightly with cotton wool if required to prevent leakage.

• To remove oil, tilt your head so that the ear is facing downwards and allow the oil to drain. Gently wipe the outside of the ear to remove residue.

• Gently wipe nozzle with clean cotton wool after use.

• Use the spray twice a day for up to 5 days.

• Repeat with the other ear if required. If symptoms persist consult your doctor.

Do not use Cl-ear Olive Oil Ear Spray if:

– You are allergic or sensitive to Cl-ear Olive Oil Ear Spray

– Do not use if the ear is infected, inflamed or bleeding or if the eardrum is ruptured.

– There are no known side effects when using olive oil but if you experience any irritation or other effects, stop using them and tell your doctor or pharmacist.

– Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are using any other medication in your ears.

– Adults (including pregnant and breastfeeding adults)

– Children under the age of 12 should receive a medical diagnosis before using this spray to confirm earwax is present.

– Inflammatory conditions characterised by swelling, pain and itching of the outer ear canal.

– Ailments accompanied by pain caused by:

– Regular exposure to water and moisture eg: swimming

– Prolonged wearing of headphones

– Ear Wax

– Frequent use of some detergents (eg shampoos, soaps, gels) which can destroy the natural membrane protecting the external ear canal

– In children under 5 years of age

– If you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients in Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops.

– If the eardrum is damaged (eg chronic otitis media).

– If you are immediately after surgery or surgical treatment in the ear

– Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are using any other medication in your ears.

– In case of prolonged pain or swelling caused by inflammatory conditions with bacterial or fungal basis.

– In case of ear discharge – leakage from the ear.

– If symptoms intensify or there is no improvement after 3 days of using the drops, or if you have a fever.

– Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops should not be applied to the ear with a hearing aid fitted, instead apply the drops one hour before the hearing aid is fitted into the outer ear canal.

– The manufacturer does not recommend the use of other medicinal products / medical devices in the form of drops or sprays during the use of Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops.
